Your images stay on your device

CanvasOtter processes images in your browser. Selecting, converting, resizing, compressing and downloading images does not upload them anywhere, and we never receive your files, file names or file contents. Moving results to another tool in the same tab uses your browser’s own temporary storage only.

Optional analytics

On canvasotter.com we offer optional Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which tools are useful. It is off by default. Nothing from Google Analytics is loaded and no analytics request is sent until you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you choose “Reject” or make no choice, it stays off. Analytics never runs on local, preview or test copies of the site.

If you accept, Google Analytics receives:

• Page views (the page address and title) and basic visit information Google collects, such as approximate location, browser, device type and referrer, using first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_*.
• Simple usage events: a tool run started, completed or failed; a result downloaded (as a single file or a ZIP); and results moved to another tool. Each carries only the tool name, a count of files, and the output format (PNG, JPG or WebP).

It does not receive your images, file names, image sizes or metadata, error messages, or any text you type. Advertising features and Google signals are turned off.

Google processes this data as our analytics provider, under Google’s privacy policy.

Your choice

Your choice is stored in this browser (local storage, key canvasotter-analytics-consent) so we don’t ask again. You can change it at any time with “Analytics settings” in the footer of any page. Withdrawing consent stops analytics immediately and removes the Google Analytics cookies from this browser. Clearing your site data also resets your choice.
