Prepare a batch of transparent assets

Icons and cutouts often arrive with uneven empty edges. Run them through four tools in order. After each step, choose the next tool and your images come along — within this browser tab only. Nothing is uploaded between steps, and you can choose whether the next tool receives the processed results or your original files.

  1. Cut away transparent margins so every asset starts tight to its content.

    640 × 480 → 240 × 240

  2. Give each asset the same breathing room — 29 px on every side.

    240 × 240 → 298 × 298

  3. Scale everything to one size, keeping the aspect ratio locked.

    298 × 298 → 256 × 256

  4. Save smaller files with transparency kept, ready for web or app.

    256 × 256

How local processing works

CanvasOtter's tools run inside your browser tab. When you choose an image, your browser reads it from your device, processes it with your device's memory and processor, and saves the result to your downloads.

The website itself loads like any other site — pages, fonts, and scripts come from our server. Your images never travel the other way.

  1. Selecting a file doesn't upload itThe image is opened by your browser, the same way it shows a photo from your computer.
  2. Speed depends on your deviceLarge batches and very large images take longer on older phones. If an image is too large for your device's memory, we'll say so and skip it — other files keep going.
  3. Results are cleared when you close the tabDownload what you need before leaving. Nothing is saved on our servers.
