Profile photos

Use 1:1 for a square crop. If a site asks for an exact size, resize afterwards.

Video and social thumbnails

16:9 matches most video thumbnails; 4:5 suits portrait posts.

Cleaning up screenshots

Type exact X and Y values to cut away toolbars or browser edges precisely.

Questions

Will cropping reduce quality?

Not when you save as PNG. JPG and WebP re-encode the image; at high quality the difference is hard to see.

Can I crop to an exact pixel size?

Yes. Type the width and height in the Size fields. To change the scale too, use Resize image afterwards.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Drag with one finger, use the zoom buttons, and fine-tune with the number fields.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser; images are never uploaded.
